Quick answer

What is Everclad Law Group?

Everclad Law Group is a personal injury law firm located in Valley Stream, New York, representing clients across Nassau County, New York City, and Long Island. The firm handles car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip-and-fall claims, and wrongful death litigation.

Founded by a former Kings County Assistant District Attorney and a Harvard Law School graduate, Everclad Law Group brings 10+ years of legal experience recovering millions for the injured. The firm works exclusively on contingency: clients pay nothing unless and until a recovery is secured.

Every case is personal.
Every strategy is built from the ground up.

We focus exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death. That focus is the difference between a firm that processes claims and one that wins them.

Car & truck accidents

From rear-end collisions on the Belt Parkway to commercial trucking catastrophes, we reconstruct the crash, depose the carrier, and pursue the full policy, not the adjuster’s first number.

Motorcycle accidents

Insurers reflexively blame the rider. We answer with crash physics, scene reconstruction, and rider-jury strategy.

Pedestrian accidents

Crosswalk strikes, hit-and-runs, and turning-vehicle cases. We pursue every layer of available coverage.

Slip & fall

Premises liability against landlords, retailers, and the City of New York under §7-201 prior-written-notice rules.

Wrongful death

EPTL §5-4.1 claims handled with discretion, dignity, and the full weight of our trial bench.

Boutique focus.
Big-firm firepower.

A partner of the firm leads every case, supported by the firm’s resources at each stage so nothing slips between calls.

  1. Free, private review

A licensed New York attorney reviews your case, by phone, video, or at your home or hospital bed. Always confidential.

  2. Evidence, fast

We preserve scene photos, dashcam, surveillance, medical records, 911 audio, and No-Fault filings before they disappear.

  3. Built for trial

Every case is prepared as if it will be tried to verdict. That’s how settlements stop being insulting and start being serious.

  4. You get paid

We negotiate liens, finalize medical accounting, and put a check in your hand, net of every dollar we owe to providers.

The most-asked questions we hear from injured New Yorkers, answered in plain English by lawyers who answer them every day.

See all FAQs
How much does it cost to hire a personal injury lawyer?

Nothing upfront. Everclad Law Group represents personal injury clients on a contingency-fee basis, which means you pay no legal fees unless we recover compensation for you. Initial case reviews are free, and there are no out-of-pocket costs to begin.

How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in New York?

Under New York CPLR §214, the general statute of limitations is three years from the date of the accident. Wrongful death claims must be filed within two years (EPTL §5-4.1). Claims against a New York municipal entity require a Notice of Claim within 90 days. These deadlines are strict, call before they pass.

What is my personal injury case worth?

Case value depends on medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, severity and permanence of injuries, insurance policy limits, and degree of liability. We perform a complete economic and non-economic damages analysis before negotiating with insurers. Every case is different. No attorney can guarantee a particular outcome, and prior results do not guarantee a similar result in any future matter.

What should I do immediately after a car accident in New York?

Six things, in order:

(1) Call 911 and report the accident.
(2) Get medical attention, even if you feel fine. Symptoms surface later.
(3) Photograph the scene, vehicles, and any visible injuries.
(4) Exchange information and gather witness contacts.
(5) File your No-Fault application (NF-2) within 30 days.
(6) Talk to a personal injury attorney before speaking with any insurance adjuster.

Do I have a case if I was partially at fault?

Yes. New York follows pure comparative negligence (CPLR §1411), meaning you can still recover even if you were partially at fault, your recovery is reduced by your share of fault. A driver found 30% at fault, for example, can still recover 70% of their damages.

Will my case go to trial?

Most personal injury cases settle before trial. But insurers settle fairly only when they believe a firm will actually take the case to a jury. Everclad’s partners have substantial New York courtroom experience, which materially changes the settlement conversation.

How long does a personal injury case take?

Straightforward soft-tissue cases often resolve in 6–12 months. Cases involving surgery, permanent injury, or contested liability typically take 18–36 months. Catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters can take longer. Settling too early, before the full extent of injuries is known, is the single most common reason victims under-recover.
